He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilia Bechard (Rose) and Armand Bechard; his wife Barbara Bechard (Dunn); and his brother Armand Bechard (late Linda). He is survived by: his children, Mike Bechard (Carole), Caroline Robert (Jean), Daniel Bechard (Deb), Denise Myers (Andre) and Susan Durrer (Chad); his grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Christian, Jordan, Kristen, Megan, Carl, Beverly, Renee, Gracie and Avery; his great grandchildren, Riley, Jacob, Andrew, Jonah, Luca, Savannah, Sawyer, Emerson and Keira; and his siblings, Maurice Bechard (late Rose), Yvonne Marchand (late Henry), Rose Marie Charbonneau, Roger Bechard (Leona), Ronald Bechard (Jean) and Bernard Bechard.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hinnegan Peseski Funeral Home (156 William St S, Chatham, ON N7M4S8). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculée Conception Church (24152 Winter Line Rd, Chatham, ON N7M5J7). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immaculée Conception Cemetery (24104 Winter Line Rd, Pain Court, ON N0P1Z0).
