She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Haelewyn (Deleay) and Oscar Haelewyn; her son David Claes; and her siblings, Mary Flou and Jules Haelewyn.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Claes; her son Ken Claes (Sherrie); her grandchildren, Rebecca Bermudes (Brian) and Keaton Strain; her great grandchild Sophia Bermudes; and her sister-in-law Lia Hebert.
