He was predeceased by : his parents, Nicholas Gionet and Georgina Gionet; his wife Rita Yollande Gionet of Chelmsford; and his siblings, Romuald Gionet (late Rita), Eutrope Gionet (late Aline), Adrienne Desbois (late Olida), Élianna Desbois (late Eugene), Roger Gionet (late Jeanine), Gérard Gionet (Eveline), Edward Gionet (Lily) and Leonard Gionet (Héline).
He is survived by : his children, Louise Connelly (Patrick) of Chapleau, Suzanne Fleming (Bob) of Kitchener, Richard Gionet of Schreiber and Diane Gionet of Sault Ste; his sisters, Jacqueline Rioux (late Jacques) and Patricia Lajambe (late Bernard); his grandchildren, Brendan, Melissa, Michael, Ryan and Jorie; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Rayliegh, Michael, Brinley, Zoey, Michaela, Jake and Lily. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
