He was predeceased by: his wife Mary (Mullin); his daughter Diane; his parents, Frank and Loretta (Berberick); his siblings, Paul, Ken and Fran Wilhelm; his parents-in-law, Frank and Agnes Mullin (Lang); and his siblings-in-law, Al Wilhelm, Adele Benninger, Mary Benninger, Jerome and Doreen Mullin.

He is survived by: his children, Joe, Mary-Lynne Benninger, Terry, Kathy Benninger, Angela, Steve Gregor, Dave and Debbie Benninger; his grandchildren, Tara, Geoff, Alanna, Kelly, Kurt, Molly, Laura, Kyle, Jessica, Tyler, Matt, Jess, Danielle and Bryce; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Eva, JoJo, Louisa, Jordyn, Luke, Violet, Bentley and Auston; and his siblings, Jim Benninger and Bonnie (Howie Neeb). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chepstow Lions Park.
