He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Joe and Stella Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Gwen of Chepstow; his children, Stacey Kunkel (John) of Walkerton, Marsha Cartwright (Ryan) of Walkerton and Laura Keip (Brad) of Walkerton; and his siblings, Jim Fritz of Meaford, Mary Cassidy (Murray) of Chepstow, Ann Nielsen (Rick) of Hanover, Joan Schmidt of Chepstow, Marilyn Schmidt of Ayr, Kate Schmidt of Holyrood, Dan Schmidt (Anne) of Brampton, Bill Schmidt (Colleen) of Walkerton, Mary Vallee (John) of Chepstow and Janice Weber (Stewart Mitchell) of Bracebridge. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
