He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Whitby and Hildred Ernestine (MacKenzie); and his in-laws, Stanley (late Joyce), Lola (late Noel), Louis, Sidney, Pauline, Sharon (late Rob), Nancy (late Doug), Penny and Peter.
He is survived by: his wife Susan (Peeling); his children, Jordan, Sean (Tamara) and Paul Wight; his grandchildren, Abagale, Lily, Isabella and Geordie; and his in-laws, Pat (late Roger), Leland (late Kay), Judy (Don), Sandra (late Ted), William (Lynn), Diane (late David) and Steven. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and extended friends and family.
There will be a grave side service on Saturday the 18th of April 2026 at the Cherry Valley cemetery from 11:00 a.m. In memory of Gary, donations can be made to Make a Wish Foundation Canada or a charity of choice.
