He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilchrist Funston and Bernice Funston; and his brother Allan. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Catto (Catto); his grandson Kevin; his children, Shawna Funston (Craig Hamilton) of Toronto and Kevin Funston (Shauna) of Komoka; his brothers, John (Brenda) of Tara and Don (Carmen) of Mississauga; and his sisters-in-law, Catherine Funston of Stratford, Irene Bombis (Gunther) of Owen Sound and Judy Catto of Cambridge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or Friends of Gateway would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
