He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William (Bert) and Ruby Elizabeth Bell (Fortune); his brothers, Danard and Ronald; and his siblings-in-law, Murray Nicoll, Bev Nicoll, Wilson McInnis, Georgina Duff (Larry) and Carol Coleman.
He is survived by: his brother Bud; his wife Isabel (Nicoll); his children, Jennifer Barmania (Sam) of Whitby and Mary-Lynn Cumming (Scott) of Dobbinton; his pet Archie; his sister Shirley McInnis of Owen Sound; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Bell, Keith Coleman, Dianne Nicoll and Donna Nicoll.
