The family announces the passing of Benny Patenaude of Chesterville, Ontario on September 16, 2026. Benny, born on November 30, 1937, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Patenaude; his parents, Florian Patenaude and Hortense Patenaude; and his brother Victor Patenaude. He is survived by: his children, Nickie Patenaude-Ouderkirk (Tony) of Cornwall, Shelly Patenaude (Jacques) of Chesterville and Bernadette Dumoulin (Scott) of St. Albert; his sisters, Gisele Loucks (late Lynn) of Morrisburg and Leona Shay (Wayne) of Port Moodie, B. C; his grandchildren, Melissa (A. J.), Sarah (Ryan), Justin (Shawna), Cheyanne (Josh), Emilie (Jeremie) and Katelyn (Trent); and his great grandchildren, Haley, Lennon, Nora of Liam, J. J, Sawyer, Maverick, Delilah and Benny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home (62 Queen St, Chesterville, ON K0C 1H0). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Presentation Roman Catholic Church (10 Church St, Chesterville, ON K0C1H0).
