He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Gilroy and Martha Gilroy; his sisters, Margaret Campbell (Roy) and Miriam Firth (Michael); and his nephew David Firth.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Ruth"; his children, Peter and Karen (Chris Holmes); his grandchild Kaleigh Moore; his niece Ann; and his nephews, Chris, Trevor, Blair (Elizabeth), Patton and Munro.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home (62 Queen St, Chesterville, ON K0C 1H0).
