She was predeceased by: her son Arnold Van Winden; her daughter-in-law Linda Van Winden (Garner); and her brothers, Steef Verburg (Riet), Sjaan Van (Henk), Arie Verburg (Nel), Lou Verburg (Riet) and Ben Verburg, Sr..

She is survived by: her husband Arnold J. Van Winden; her children, John, Melanie Van Winden of Atwood, Stephen, Lisa Van Winden of Paris, Diana and Michael Cunningham of London; her daughter-in-law Lisa Van Winden of Kitchener; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Reid), Denise (Greg), Eric, Justin, Andrew (Jordine), Caroline, Daniel (Stephanie), Adam (Sam), Noah, Lauren and Scott; her great grandchildren, Darren, McKenzie and Helen; her sister Thea Jansen (Wynand) of Barrhead; and her sisters-in-law, Annie Verburg and Riet Verburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
