He was predeceased by : his wife Louise Brenda Thomson; his parents, Clifford Thomson and Shirley Thomson; his brother Ellis Thomson; and his siblings-in-law, Sally Thomson and William Ross (Bill).

He is survived by : his children, Bradley (Shona) and Nicole (Scott); his grandchildren, Kolby (Ethan), Alex (Leah), Bella and Hunter; his great grandchildren, Liam and Lennon; and his sister Sheila Ross. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
