She was predeceased by: her husband Grant Hunter Stirling; her son Clayton Grant Stirling; her grandson James Clayton Stirling; her siblings, Doris Schilbe (late Albert) and Jack Cole (late Ethel); and her parents, Oliver John and Edna Mae Cole (Crich).

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Vanderland (James); her grandchildren, John Vanderland (Angie), Christina Woodland (Tony) and Robert Vanderland (Diane); her great grandchildren, Tyler, Kasey, Owen, Austin and Aliyah; her sisters, Ethel Desjardine (late Wilmer) and Margaret Argyle (late Samuel); and her friend Mary Elliott Huyzen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
