He was predeceased by : his parents, Guy Ives and Olive Ives (Fox). He is survived by : his wife Ella Ives (Nethery); his children, Sharon, Laurie Cox, Judy Ives, Linda Ives, Paul Barker, Tim, Patty Ives, Andrew Ives and Carla Messenger; his grandchildren, Travis, Jesse, Vanessa, Luke, Bree, Siobhan, Jon-Michael, Sinead, Amy, Alma, Kaleb, Hannah and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Clara, Noah, Caitlin and Ben. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Trinity Anglican Church – Blyth would be appreciated.
