He was predeceased by: his grandson Kalvin Van Massenhoven. He is survived by: his children, Tracy, Rob Rau, Jann, Michael Van Massenhoven, Aimee, Matthew Townsend, Adam Talbot and Naomi MacLeod; and his grandsons, Dustin, Ryan Rau, Darcy, Bailey, Karley Van Massenhoven, Lucas and Mitchell Townsend.
