He was predeceased by: his children, Andy and Debbie Rathwell; and his siblings, Marion (Ron), Beatrice (Ira), Leo and Felix Rathwell.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverley Rathwell; his children, Cathy Regier (Greg), Faye Cassista (late Bob), Dave Rathwell (Buffie) and Darrell Rathwell (Sheryl); his grandchildren, Shawn (Chantelle), Jackie, Scott, Mallory (Dave), Carissa (Dylon), Riley (Moira), Taylor (Connor) and Mackenzie (Brock); his great grandchildren, Ava, Pender, Noah, Abby, Joyce, Andy, Eddie, Sadie, Jase and Bryson; and his siblings, Ida Lepack, Jerry Rathwell (Bev), Marie Latendresse (Ken), Irene Rathwell, Kathy Rathwell, Bruce MacIntyre (Sue) and Linda Humphries (late Ted). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home (5 Crawford St, Cobden, ON K0J1K0). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church (526 Micksburg Rd, Cobden, ON K0J1K0).
