He is survived by: his wife Sheila Giroux; his children, Michel Giroux (Tarra) and Monique (Rick Kanaar); his grandchildren, Jessie Giroux, John and Joshua Kanaar; his siblings, Lucien Giroux, Elise Castonguay (Wally) and Adrien Giroux; his siblings-in-law, Bernard Sirosky (Marlene), Terry Sirosky, Mary Lynn McGarry and Patricia Durling (Arthur); Aurel, Urgel, Andrew, Aime, Anna Williams, Dora Godin, Elisa-Anna, Leo, Emilio, Peter Giroux, George Robert and Jerome.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home (5 Crawford St, Cobden, ON K0J1K0). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church (526 Micksburg Rd, Cobden, ON K0J1K0).
