He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalton Elizabeth and Martha Elizabeth (Elliott); and his siblings, Vernon, Oren, Clayton, Bill, Fred, John, Gordon, Ralph and Eleanor Mathieu.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Johnson); his daughters, Erica Rice (Michael John) and Sonia Hanatschek (Tim); his grandchildren, McLean, Devin, Kinly, Regan and Masen; and his sisters, Enid Kruschenske (Nelson) and Ruth Williams (D. T.).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home (5 Crawford St, Cobden, ON K0J1K0). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Beachburg Lions Hall (9 Hannah St, Beachburg, ON K0J1C0).
As expressions of sympathy donation to The Dementia Society (Ottawa and Renfrew County) would be appreciated.
