He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Tennant and Lena Tennant; and his siblings, Jerome (Carroll), Willie (Elsie), John (Delores), Geraldine (Leslie) and Marjorie (Lorne).

He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Randy (Danielle), Charlene (Jeffrey) and Coralie (Glynn); his grandsons, Christian (Stephanie), Patrick, Connor (Alexis), Matthew (Alexandra), Nicholas (Madelyn), Andrew and Daniel; his great grandchild Sophie; and his siblings, Allan, Lawrence and Clara.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on his behalf to the Madawaska Valley Hospice or the St Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry's Bay.
