He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Houghton and Doris Houghton; his child Laurie Houghton; his brother Rod Houghton (Pat); and his brother-in-law David Ellis (Judy).
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his child Robin Houghton of Cobourg; his sisters, Dawn Johnston (D. Terry) of Norwood and Karen Campbell (Wayne) of Coe Hill; and his siblings-in-law, Malcolm McArthur of Larder Lake, Wayne Ellis (D. Carol) of Peterborough, Randy Ellis (Debbie) of Boulter, Dale Ellis (Nancy) of Douro-Dummer and Gale Ellis of Douro-Dummer.
