He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Sherman and Robert Sherman. He is survived by: his wife Helen van Poorten; his stepchildren, Kristie Verrette (Jeff) and Sean Davies; and his grandsons, Ethan, Jack, Austin and Oliver.
In John's memory, donations can be made to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care, where John was looked after with such incredible care and kindness by the staff there in his last few weeks.
