He was predeceased by: his brother Bruce; and his parents, Rose Matthews and Alan Williams. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Williams; his children, Laura Izzard (Ian), Glenn Williams (Linda) and Grant Williams (Tammy); his grandchildren, Cameron Izzard (Cassandra), Heather Izzard (Andrew), Mary Williams, Katie Williams (Nathan) and Sarah Williams; and his brother-in-law David Cooper (Donnalyn).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church Cobourg or Ed's House Northumberland Hospice.
