Muriel Helen Maughan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Muriel Helen Maughan (Cobourg, Ontario), who passed away on May 19, 2025 at the age of 105. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Maughan; her parents, Verna Brooks and Clarence Brooks; and her sibling Marion Minifie. She is survived by: her children, Robin Maughan (Rosemary), Barbara Maughan (Fred) and John Maughan (Deborah); and her grandchildren, Karen Ham (late Peter), Brenda Petzold (Todd), Tina Maughan-Downes (Greg), Patricia Geurts (Ian), Keith Maughan (Miranda), Christopher McIntosh, Ian McIntosh (Lauri), Robert Hardy and Ashlee Hardy (Nathan). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St E, Cobourg, ON K9A1K7). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
If desired, donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church, Cold Springs or Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.
