She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hovenden and Laura Hovenden (Cuerrier); her husband Paul Harris; and her siblings, David and Carol Carey.

She is survived by: her significant other Ben Bangerter; and her siblings, Wendy Meletis (Fanis) of Belleville, ON and Frank (Krista) of Courtenay, BC. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
