It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Theresa Marrocco (Cobourg, Ontario), who passed away on October 8, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Dominic; her parents, Louis Larsen (Danish-Lutheran) and Florence Gillies (Scots-Catholic); her siblings, Ingrid, Ole and Eileen; and her children, Pete (Christine McCleary), Mary (Roberto Ubertino), Bernard (Debbie Quinn), Frank (Alex Ruszkowski), John (Catherine Gerth), Nancy, Paul (Mary Lane) and Terry.

“Aunt Rita was a special person and one whose steadfast values always shone through I have always had an attachment to the Marroccos who as a group were fun, humorous, intelligent and interesting. Dominic, Zip, the Bishop especially were examples to me throughout my whole life . The girls including my mother were endless fun to be around and to listen to. All of the women will exist forever in spirit. Rita is a real loss.. Frank Pace”
