He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hackney and Shirley Hackney; his brothers, Tom and George Hackney; and his daughters, Kelly, Kathy and Karla Hackney.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Dianne Hackney; his children, Melissa Hackney, Teri Minifie (Jason) and Brandon Hackney (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Jordyn Minifie (Cameron), Jayden Minifie, Justin Hackney, Josh Robicheau, Dylan Robicheau and Nodia Stodart; his siblings, Richard "Rick" Hackney, Bonnie Dainard, Carolyn Harper and Judy Rahme; his pet Marley; and his caregiver Bob.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St E, Cobourg, ON K9A1K7). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter Ontari.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre in Bob's memory.
