He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Donaldson and Charles Donaldson; his stepfather Barton Hinchliffe; and his siblings, Shirley (Douglas) and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Viola; his son Tim (Sharlene); his grandchildren, Tyler and Jessie-Lynn (Sean); his great grandchildren, Halle and Nash; and his siblings, Alvin (late Jean), Joyce (late Percy), Sharon (Harold) and Ruth (late Michael). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
