He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Shirley Chown (Culley) and Roger Chown; his wife Linda (LePage); his children, Matthew (Josephine) and Hayley; his brothers, David (Jennifer) and Richard (Kathleen); his sister-in-law Lauri (Bruce); his grandchildren, Emma, Brenna and Hunter; his children-in-law, Catherine and Rob; his pets, Otto, Tessa and Gracie; and his close friend Linda. He was also cherished by nieces, cousins, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Alpine SKI Club (242 Arrowhead Rd, 7, ON L9Y0S1).
In lieu of flowers donations in Gary's memory may be made to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital (https://cgmhf.com) or. Bishop's University – Gary Chown Memorial Fund (https://www.ubishops.ca) His presence will be deeply missed, but his larger-than-life spirit lives on in all who were lucky enough to know him.
