He is survived by: his significant other Shelley; his former spouse Eric (Vanessa); his children, Sarah and Izzy Houston; his parents, John Hensel and Velma Hensel; his siblings, Karen (Jim), Janice (Clayton), David (Leanne), Lori (Ingo) and Susan (Jim); his mother-in-law Judi Plewes; his sister-in-law Stephanie (Darren); and his pet Este. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Alpine SKI Club (242 Arrowhead Rd #17, The Blue Mountains, ON L9Y0S1).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation (https://hospicegeorgiantriangle.com).
