He was predeceased by: his spouse Kristel "Kris"; his parents, John Patterson and Rebecca Patterson; his in-laws, Siguard and Gerd Skarsten; his sister Patricia Neilson; his sister-in-law Tove (Don Rose); and his niece Lizzie.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa (Derek Haigh) and Todd Patterson (Sue); his sibling-in-law Wenche Dear (late John Tronstad); and his nieces and nephews, Eric, Tanya, Terry, Kenny and Peter.
