He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Russell and Jennie Russell of Oshawa; and his wife Elizabeth Russell (Koch). He is survived by: his children, Scott (Catherine Gregory) and Carrie (Brad Charlton); his grandchildren, Alex, Charlotte, Sam and Spencer; his niece Sharon McKay (Don); and his siblings, Margaret Pyette (Jim) and Bob (late Chris Russell).
