The memory of Hans M Eggink (Collins, Ontario), who passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his wife Margarethe; his daughter Barbara; his parents, Hugo and Barbara; and his brother Berndt (Doreen).

He is survived by: his son Christian (Danna); his granddaughter Natalie Pizzacalla (Chris); his son-in-law John; his siblings, Margaret (late Helmut), Renate (late Peter), Annie (late Mervin), Ursula (late Lyall) and Elfried (Sandra); and his siblings-in-law, Horst (late Christa) and Chrystl Rettenbacher (Robert) of Austria.

In lieu of flowers, Hans requested donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

“My sincere condolences. I worked with Hans in the 70's and enjoyed our time together. Being a young Constable, I vividly recall an incident in which I responded to a call and found that the driver of the vehicle would not unlock their door or roll down the window. I called for my Sergeant. Hans showed up shortly thereafter. Advised of the situation. He calmly walked up to the car with his baton in his hand and smashed the window. Problem solved. A great guy. RIP. Bruce McKittrick”
