He was predeceased by : his parents, Jules Dendooven and Emilie Sallet. He is survived by : his wife Maria (Focquaert); his children, Diane (Dave Thibert), David (Michael Brock), Chantal (Dennis Tremblay) and Derek (Jennifer Mullen); his grandchildren, Greg (Ruth), Rachelle, Joshua, Alenna, Aiden, Riley, Denica and Jacob; his siblings, Gilbert (Nera), Jérôme (Rosa), Marie-Irène and Daniel; and his siblings-in-law, Frans, Paul, Monique (Placide), Herman, Rosanne (Jan), Robert (Nicole), Joris (Marleen), Willy (Marleen), Martina (Paul) and Marleen (Herman). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor-Essex, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
