He was predeceased by: his wife Anne "Rusty" Desjardins; his brothers, Leo Desjardins (Esther) and George Desjardins (late Joan); his stepson Kenny Gardner; and his parents, Merel Desjardins and Eva Desjardins.
He is survived by: his close friend Teresa McLennan; his siblings, Yvonne Hulshof (Lute), Cleonide Desjardins (Pauline Brisson) and Marielle Pond (late Donald McCarthy); and his stepchildren, Garry Gardner (Kathy), Terry Gardner (Reanne) and Paula Gardner. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home (822 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON K6J3S2). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
