With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Joan George (Cornwall, Ontario), who passed away on May 18, 2026 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dave George Sr.; her parents, George Thomspon and Irene White; her sisters, Minerva Menard (Thompson) and Clara Thompson; her granddaughter Brandi; her stepchildren, Daniel (Jason) and Jane; her aunts, Beatrice, Annie and Josephine (late Wariose); her nieces and nephews, Sue Arquette, Tyson Arquette and Corey Benedict; and her brother Christopher James Jacobs.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie (Dennis), Crystal (Dustin), Nicole and Dallas (Leslie); her stepchildren, Margaret, Davey, Doug, Dean, Donald, Darrel, Darren, Dorcey and Josephine; her grandchildren, Thomas, Dusty Carter, Daphne, Drayden, Makayleigh, Avery, Alfred Jr., Demi, Gavin, Brick and Eva; her great grandchildren, Everleigh Kay Cook and Ace Norten; her siblings, Margaret (late Paul Arbour), Debbie (Buck), Donna, Wanda, Cecelia (Dan), Elizabeth (Morris), Lorraine and Carl (Theresa); her godchildren, Courtney Angus, Kayla Thompson and Brendan Jacobs Thompson; her friend Emmy Mitchell; and her granddaughter Dream. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Homemaker Centre (1126 River Rd, Akwesasne Reserve No. 15, QC H0M1A1). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
