She was predeceased by: her husband James D. Bell; her parents, Madison Grover and Eleanor Vanier; and her siblings, June Messier (late Renald), Marion Parker (late Tom) and James Grover.

She is survived by: her daughter Shari Smelko (Mark); and her grandchildren, Scott Smelko and Carli Smelko.
