He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvah Patterson and Maria Eva Patterson; his grandchild Katya; and his brothers, Angus (Velda), Evan (late Mary), Gordon (late June) and Ottis (late Elvera).

He is survived by: his daughters, Corlena (Jeff) and Julia; his grandchildren, Chloe (Bashar), Sierra, Nicholas and Angelina; his great grandchildren, Emma Rose and Malik; and his sisters, Glenda (Kenneth) and Greta (Robert). He is also survived by his extended family, friends.
