He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hickey and Eva Hickey; and his siblings, Elwin (Nancy), May Fitzpatrick, Walter (Madeleine) and John (Grace).

He is survived by: his wife Audrey Forbes; and his grandchildren, Laura, Sarah (Dustin), Thomas, Melissa (Scott), Carolyn, Andrew, Jacob and Kevin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
