With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie (Knowles) Fontaine (Cornwall, Ontario), who passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Knowles and Emily Knowles; and her siblings, Helen Knowles and Charles Knowles (Donna). She is survived by: her spouse Jean-Gilles "John" Fontaine; her sons, Mark Fontaine (Ekaterina Kondratyeva) of Pointe Claire and Derek Fontaine (Marylene Maranda) of Otterburn Park; and her grandchildren, Shawn, Alex, Sophia, Philippe, Molly and David. She is also survived by numerous many friends and extended family.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ontario SPCA, would be appreciated by the family.
