He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Cheesman; his parents, William "Bill" Cheesman and Roxie Cheesman; and his siblings, Daryle Cheesman (Grace) and Gertrude Cheesman (Ron).

He is survived by: his children, Karen Moore (Butch) and Scott Cheesman (Lisa); his grandchildren, Adam MacDonald (Kelsey), Kaitlyn MacDonald (Scott Joly), Derek MacDonald (Natasha), Taylor Cheesman, Ben Moore and Ted Moore (Katrina); and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Scotlyn, Lachlan, Adelyn, Phallyn and Rhys.

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated by the family.
