Gail Dugas Obituary

We announce the death of Gail Dugas (Cornwall, Ontario), who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 89. Gail will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Gail will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Gail will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Gail’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jean-Guy Dugas; her parents, Joseph Villeneuve and Muriel Villeneuve; her daughter Susan Dugas; and her sisters, Joan MacDonald (Bernie) and Dinah Nelson (Peter).

She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Dugas (Walter Jule) of Edmonton, AB, Deborah McEwan (David) of Simcoe, ON and Cindy Lazenby (Mark) of Nelson, BC.; and her siblings, Shirley Lapensee (late Guy) and Linda Tranchemontagne (late Laurier).
