He was predeceased by: his parents, Andreas Varnava and Anna Varnava. He is survived by: his wife Linda McCarthy; his children, Andreas, Anna (Philip), Travis McCarthy and Melanie McCarthy (Scott); his grandchildren, Candice, Brady, Lily, Bradley and Chloe; and his sisters, Nitsa Stavroli and Toula Varnava.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home (822 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON K6J3S2). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
