He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hickey and Eva Hickey; his siblings, Elwin, Walter, John, David and May Fitzpatrick; and his sister-in-law Norma (late Frank Johnson).

He is survived by: his wife Merilyn; his children, Cynthia, Steven (Dee) and Heather (Chris Seguin); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven and Aaron. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
