He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard MacKay and Juanita MacKay; and his brother Derek MacKay. He is survived by : his wife Carol MacKay; and his children, David (Sheila), Wayne, Angela Rollison (Brent), Tammy McKay (Todd) and Diana MacKay (Wade). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
