She was predeceased by: her husband John Oliver Montroy; her parents, Leonard Carter and Irene Carter (Née Heath); and her siblings, Dawn Pidgeon (late Alcide), Robert Carter and Ronald Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Michael, Patrick, Dalton (Janette) and Lisa; her grandchildren, Robert, Melissa (John), Jennifer (Steve), Mark and Amanda; her great grandchildren, Cecilia, Asterios, Jaelyn, Noah, Kyrie, Ashlyn, Aubree, Alexia, Oliver and Myles; and her siblings, Eva Carter, Doris Carter, Brian Carter (Sandra) and Susan Struthers (Darcy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
