John Elwood Hay Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Elwood Hay (Cornwall, Ontario), who passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John Elwood may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Elwood touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his sister Heather Thompson (Richard); and his parents, John Allan Hay and Annabelle. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hay; his children, John Allan Hay and Karyn Perrier (Shawn) of Kanata; his grandchildren, Colten Raymond John Perrier and Avery Rose Perrier; and his sisters, Eileen McEwen (Darwin) and Kathleen Hay.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
