He was predeceased by : his wife Jeannine Savard; his grandchild Chantal Cooper; his parents, George Savard and Veronica Savard; and his children, Claude (Suzanne), Ronald, Paul, Michel and Pauline (Marcel).

He is survived by : his granddaughters, Manon Larivière (Eric Oullette), Julie Bélair (Eric) and Rachel Besner.
