He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Joy Benedict; and his father Lawrence Benedict. He is survived by: his mother Frances Benedict; his stepfather William Thompson; his stepchildren, Micheal Antone, Tumara Antone, Leah Jimenez (Becca) and Arnold Casey Jr. (Lacey Angus); his stepgrandchildren, Micheal Jr., Jesse, Daniel, Ashley, Brandon, Nicholas, Maya, Dreydon, Sheyla (Tommy), Stormy Skye, Leilanni, Lilleigh and Luna; his stepgreat-grandsons, Andre and Leo; and his siblings, Francine Benedict (Greg Saj), Thomas Benedict (Kateri), Robert Benedict (late Fernande) and Patrick Benedict (Cheryl). He is also survived by several nieces, nephew and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home (822 Pitt St, Cornwall, ON K6J3S2). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
