She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Besner; her parents, Albert Taillon and Aglaée Taillon; her granddaughter Sarah Langford; and her siblings, Alcide Taillon (late Lillian), Omer Taillon (late Hilda), Victoria Marsolais (late Rodolph), Edgar Taillon (late Gladys), Anna Smith (late Don), Albert Taillon (late Jeannine), Robert Taillon, Leopold Taillon (late Claudette), Roger Taillon (Jeannette) and Rita Seguin (late Paul).

She is survived by: her children, Robert Besner (Wendy), Vivianne Langford (Randy), Suzanne Blair (Jonathan), Claude Besner, Carole McKee (Danny), Raymond Besner (Patricia) and Jean-Guy Besner (Angela); her grandchildren, Shawn Besner (Yvette), Jason Besner (Magdalena Kulczyna), Angèle Barrington (Russell), Karen Langford, Jennifer Haley (Gary), Melissa Major, Alexandra Besner (Matt Girgis), Shane Besner, Bridget Michaud-Besner (Erik Trudell), Spencer Besner and Geneviève Ryan (Patrick); and her siblings, Irene Dow (late Gerald), Agnes Desjardins (late Reynald) and Shirley Danis (Ronald).

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to St, Joseph's Continuing Care Centre or to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
