She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice and Julia; and her husband Gilles Valade. She is survived by: her significant other Yvan Soucy; her daughters, Colette (Yves) and Nancy (Lee); her grandchildren, Mélanie (Vincent), Patrick, William and Joey; her great grandchild Ophélie; and her siblings, Paulette (Gérald) and Wilfred (Carole). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
